The Comoros (, ), officially the Union of the Comoros (Comorian: Udzima wa Komori, , ) is a sovereign, archipelago island nation in the Indian Ocean, located off the eastern coast of Africa, on the northern end of the Mozambique Channel, between northeastern Mozambique and northwestern Madagascar. Other countries near to the Comoros are Tanzania to the northwest and the Seychelles to the northeast. The capital is Moroni on Grande Comore.

Die Komoren (komor.: Komori, frz.: Comores [kɔˈmɔːʀ]; offiziell seit 2001 Union der Komoren) bilden einen föderalen Inselstaat im Indischen Ozean, am nördlichen Ausgang der Straße von Mosambik zwischen Mosambik und Madagaskar. Sie umfassen drei der vier Hauptinseln des Komorenarchipels. Diese sind Grande Comore (Njazidja), Anjouan (Nzwani), Mohéli (Mwali) sowie einige kleinere Inseln; die vierte Hauptinsel Mayotte (Mahoré) ist Überseegebiet Frankreichs und wird ebenfalls von der Union beansprucht.
