Kobe
is the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture and a prominent port city in Japan with a population of about 1.5 million. The city is located in the Kansai region of Japan and is part of the Osaka-Kobe-Kyoto metropolitan area. Kobe is classified as one of Japan's seventeen designated cities.Originally known by the name , the area was first settled as a port in the 8th century A.D. For most of its history the area was never a single political entity, even during the Tokugawa Period, when the port was controlled directly by the Tokugawa Shogunate. Kobe did not exist in its current form until its founding in 1889. Its name comes from , an archaic title for supporters of the city's Ikuta Shrine. Kobe became one of Japan's designated cities in 1956.

Kobe
Kobe (jap. , -shi) ist eine Großstadt in Japan auf der Insel Honshu. Die am 1. April 1889 gegründete Stadt ist Sitz der Präfekturverwaltung der Präfektur Hyogo und hat einen der größten Seehäfen Japans. Die moderne, internationale Stadt bildet mit Osaka und Kyoto (Keihanshin) und kleineren Städten das Herz der Kansai-Gegend.

Kobe
Kōbe (神戸) è una città del Giappone, di 1,5 milioni di abitanti, situata nell'isola di Honshū. È uno dei principali porti. Tradizionalmente cosmopolita, è stata una delle prime città ad iniziare commerci con l'occidente, dopo l'apertura dei porti giapponesi avvenuta con l'inizio dell'era Meiji. Anche l'architettura ha risentito del carattere cosmopolita della città e vi sono molti edifici, in stile occidentale, che risalgono ai primi del Novecento.
