Île Christmas (Kiribati)
L’île Christmas (ou Kiritimati, graphie alternative) est un atoll de l'océan Pacifique appartenant à la République des Kiribati. C'est le plus grand atoll au monde pour sa superficie terrestre, soit 642 km² (parfois 388,39 km² selon d'autres sources, en fonction des méthodes de calcul et des lagons plus ou moins asséchés), qui représente près de 70 % de la superficie totale des Kiribati à lui seul. Située sur le fuseau horaire UTC+14, c'est le premier endroit habité sur terre à débuter un jour civil.

Kiritimati (även Christmas Island, "Julön") är en ö i Polynesien som tillhör Kiribati i Stilla havet. Ön skall inte förväxlas med Julön i Indiska oceanen.

Kiritimati
Kiritimati (czyt. kirismas; Wyspa Bożego Narodzenia) - największa z 33 wysp na Pacyfiku stanowiących państwo Kiribati.
Wyspa zajmuje powierzchnię o obszarze 642 km², w tym 323 km² stanowi powierzchnię lądową – jest to 70% całego obszaru lądowego kraju. Reszta jej powierzchni to laguna.
Niemal wszystkie wyspy należące do Kiribati (z wyjątkiem jednej) to atole - wyspy koralowe. Kiritimati jest nie tylko największym atolem wchodzącym w skład tego państwa, lecz także największym atolem (jeśli wziąć pod uwagę powierzchnie lądową) oraz największą wyspą koralową na świacie.
