Das Königreich Ungarn bestand in wechselnden Grenzen von 1001 bis 1918. Es entstand im heutigen Westungarn und vergrößerte seinen Herrschaftsbereich in der Folgezeit auf das Gebiet des heutigen Ungarn, das Gebiet von Siebenbürgen (im heutigen Rumänien gelegen), die Slowakei, die Vojvodina, die Karpatenukraine, Kroatien (außer Dalmatien) und einige kleinere Gebiete. Królestwo Węgier (węg. Magyar Királyság, niem. Königreich Ungarn, słow. Uhorské kráľovstvo, rum. Regatul Ungariei, chorw. Kraljevina Ugarska, serb. Краљевина Угарска, łac. Regnum Hungariae) to nazwa państwa, które istniało w Europie Środkowej od roku 1000 do 1944. Oprócz terytorium dzisiejszej Republiki Węgier w skład Królestwa Węgier wchodziły także: Wojwodina, Chorwacja, Słowacja, Siedmiogród, Ruś Zakarpacka a także fragmenty terytoriów wchodzących obecnie w skład innych, sąsiednich państw. Od 1102 do 1918 roku było w unii personalnej z Królestwem Chorwacji, a od 1867 do 1918 w unii realnej z Austrią (przed tym rokiem Królestwo Węgier istniało tylko nominalnie, w praktyce będąc częścią państwa Habsburgów z mniejszą lub większą autonomią). Po I wojnie światowej Węgry pozostały nadal królestwem, jednak bez króla - nie dopuszczono na tron Karola Habsburga, państwem rządził jako regent adm. Miklós Horthy.

Il Regno d'Ungheria è stato un vasto stato multietnico dell'Europa danubiana, esistito per oltre nove secoli dal 1001 al 1918, che comprendeva i territori dell'attuale Ungheria, Transilvania (in Romania), Slovacchia, Croazia interna e Rutenia subcarpatica. Facevano parte del Regno d'Ungheria o ad esso erano ricondotte tutte le Terre della Corona di Santo Stefano.
