Kahndaq is a fictional country. In the
DC Comics Universe, Kahndaq is an
Arab country on the continent of
Africa, between
Egypt and
Jordan. A map seen in a JSA issue shows that it appears to be a landlocked country on the
Sinai Peninsula). It was ruled by the antihero
Black Adam before his attack on
Bialya, and is one of the countries that spearheaded the
Freedom of Power Treaty. Its capital city is called Shiruta, named after Black Adam's deceased wife. It's flag consists of three horizontal, black and white stripes combined with three golden pyramids, each representing a dead member of Adam's family. At least one of its official languages, per
52 #14, is
Arabic.
