W. M. Keck Observatory
The W. M. Keck Observatory is a two-telescope astronomical observatory at the 4,145 meter (13,600 ft) summit of Mauna Kea in Hawai'i. The primary mirror of each of the two telescopes are 10 meter (400 inch) in diameter, formerly the  world's largest telescopes for optical and near-infrared astronomy. The telescopes can also operate together to form a single astronomical interferometer. The Keck telescopes in particular have received heavy criticism by the Kanaka Maoli community [1].
