Kaziranga

Kaziranga National Park (, IAST: kājirangā rāstriya uddyāna, IPA: ) is a national park in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam, India. It is a World Heritage Site, and two-thirds of the world's Great One-horned Rhinoceroses live in the park. Kaziranga has the highest density of tigers among protected areas in the world and was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006. The park has large breeding populations of elephants, water buffalo and swamp deer. Kaziranga is recognised as an Important Bird Area by Birdlife International for conservation of avifaunal species. The park has achieved notable success in wildlife conservation compared to other protected areas in India. Located on the edge of the Eastern Himalaya biodiversity hotspot, the park combines high-species diversity and visibility.

Le parc national de Kaziranga (en anglais Kaziranga National Park, en Assamais কাজিৰঙা ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় উদ্যান, [Kazirônga Rastriyô Uddan], prononcé ) est un parc national situé dans les districts de Golaghat et Nagaon de l'état d'Assam en Inde sur le bord est de l'Himalaya. Ce parc est inscrit sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. Les deux tiers de la population de rhinocéros indiens (Rhinoceros unicornis) y vivent, et on y trouve la plus grande densité de tigres au monde, d'où son classement parmi les Tiger reserves en 2006. Le parc dispose d'importantes populations reproductrices d'éléphants, de buffles d'eau et de barasinghas. Kaziranga est en outre une ZICO.

Kaziranga ist ein indischer Nationalpark. Er liegt im Bundesstaat Assam in der Landschaft der Karbi Anglong Hügel im Nordosten Indiens. Das Parkgebiet wird im Norden vom Brahmaputra, im Süden von der Nationalstraße 37 begrenzt. Der Park hat eine Fläche von 430 km² und besteht aus Hochgrasfluren, Waldungen und Sumpfgebieten.

Park Narodowy Kaziranga - park narodowy o powierzchni 430 km kwadratowych, położony w północno-wschodnich Indiach, we stanie Assam, na wschód od miasta Guwahati, nad rzeką Brahmaputra.Głównym celem utworzenia Parku była ochrona nosorożca indyjskiego, którego 2/3 światowej populacji (około 1850 osobników) zamieszkuje na terenie Parku. Na terenie Parku zamieszkuje również szereg innych gatunków zwierząt, w tym tygrys bengalski (około 90 osobników), słoń indyjski, gaur (kilkadziesiąt osobników), a także wiele gatunków ptactwa wodnego.

De Nationaal Park Kaziranga (Assamees:কাজিৰঙা ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় উদ্যান) is een nationaal park in India en wereldberoemd vanwege de Indische neushoorn. Het park maakt deel uit van ons Wereldnatuurerfgoed en staat sinds 1985 op de Werelderfgoedlijst.
