Kannadiga (Kannada: ಕನ್ನಡಿಗ |), or Kannadati (Kannada: ಕನ್ನಡತಿ |) are an ethnic group primarily located in the state of Karnataka in India and neighbouring areas like Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Kerala ,Goa and Maharashtra. Native speakers of Kannada in other regions might also consider themselves as Kannadigas. Kannadigas are people who speak Kannada, its variants or its various dialects. The variations of dialects are several. Janapadas of Soliga, Badaga and other tribes of Karnataka having rich contribution to Kannada literature have their own style.
