Kafi

Kafi (Urdu: کافی) is a classical form of Sufi poetry originating from the Sindh, Pakistan. One of the more well-known poets of this style was Bulleh Shah, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, and Sachal Sarmast.In musical terms, kafi refers to the genre of Urdu light classical music which utilizes the verses of kafi poets such as Bulleh Shah and Shah Hussein. Due to the religious nature of the poetic genre, kafi music is normally associated with the Sufi orders of Islam in South Asia. It is characterized by a devotional intensity in its delivery and as such overlaps considerably with both the Qawwali and Ghazal genres. However, unlike Qawwali, the musical arrangement may only include one harmonium, one tabla, one dholak and a single vocalist.

Ali Hussein Kafi (arabisch: علي حسين كافي‎; * 1928) war vom 2. Juli 1992 bis zum 31. Januar 1994 Präsident von Algerien. Er wurde nach der Ermordung Muhammad Boudiafs algerischer Präsident. Sein Nachfolger war Liamine Zéroual.

Tygmateriel (eller enbart tyg) är en svensk militär benämning på vapen, ammunition, fordon och signalmateriel m m till skillnad från materiel för förplägnad eller beklädnad m m som kallas intendenturmateriel. Således är uniformer av textilmaterial (det civila begreppet "tyg") ej tygmateriel, vilket ibland orsakar viss begreppsförvirring. Begreppet tyg kommer från lågtyska tûch, som betyder 'don', 'utrustning'. Besläktat därmed är fornsvenska tygh med innebörd redskap, bohag, saker. Jämför verktyg och nattygsbord (även nattduksbord), ett bord för nattsakerna, som förr utgjordes av ljusstake, tändstickor m m.) Natt-tygsbordets tillbehör stearinljus och tändstickor räknas dock militärt till intendenturmaterielen.
