Kabbalah (, literally "receiving/tradition"; also transliterated Cabala, Qabbalâ etc.; different transliterations now tend to denote alternative traditions) is an esoteric method, discipline, and school of thought that originated in Judaism. A traditional Kabbalist in Judaism is called a Mekubal .
