The Communist Party of Austria (de: Kommunistische Partei Österreichs, or KPÖ) is a communist party based in Austria. Established in 1918, it was banned between 1933 and 1945 under German control of Austria during World War II. It played an important role in the Austrian resistance against the Nazis and fascism.

Le Parti communiste autrichien (: Kommunistische Partei Österreichs, ou KPÖ) est un parti politique basé en Autriche. Fondé en 1918, il a été interdit entre 1933 et 1945, d'abord sous le régime « austrofasciste », puis lorsque l'Autriche a été sous contrôle allemand. Die Kommunistische Partei Österreichs (KPÖ) ist eine österreichische politische Partei. Sie wurde 1918 als Kommunistische Partei Deutsch-Österreichs (KPDÖ) gegründet und ist somit eine der ältesten kommunistischen Parteien der Welt. Die KPÖ war von 1945 bis 1959 im Nationalrat und bis 1970 in mehreren Landtagen vertreten. 2005 gelang der KPÖ mit vier Sitzen der Wiedereinzug in den steirischen Landtag. Bundessprecher sind seit 2006 Melina Klaus und Mirko Messner.

Komunistyczna Partia Austrii jest komunistyczna partią w Austrii. Partia została założona w 1918 roku.Partia publikuje Volkstimmen. Młodzieżówką partii jest Kommunistische Jugend Österreichs - Junge Linke.W wyborach parlamentarnych w 2002 roku partia uzyskała 27 568 głosów (0.56%). Ale partii nie udało się zdobyć żadnego mandatu w parlamencie.
