KNMI

The KNMI, Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute (Dutch:Koninklijk Nederlands Meteorologisch Instituut) is the Dutch national weather forecasting service and has its headquarters in De Bilt, in the province of Utrecht, The Netherlands.The primary tasks of KNMI are weather forecasting, monitoring of climate changes and monitoring seismic activity. KNMI is also the national research and information centre for climate, climate change and seismology.

Het Koninklijk Nederlands Meteorologisch Instituut (of KNMI) is een Nederlands instituut dat onder andere de dagelijkse weersverwachtingen verzorgt. Het KNMI is een agentschap van het Ministerie van Verkeer en Waterstaat.In totaal werken er in 2007 bij het KNMI zo'n 500 mensen.
