Jubal

Jubal (in Hebrew, Yuval יוּבָל), was the son of Lamech and Adah, a brother of Jabal, a descendant of Cain, according to the Bible. The ancestor of all who played the lyre and pipe. Jubal wird im 1. Buch Mose 4,21 der Bibel als jüngster Sohn von Lamech und seiner Frau Ada erwähnt. Jubal hatte einen älteren Bruder, Jabal, und einen Halbbruder, Tubal-Kain. Er war wie seine Brüder ein Nachkomme Kains. Jubal soll der biblischen Erzählung zufolge der Urvater aller Zither- und Flötenspieler, also aller Musiker gewesen sein.

Jubal é um personagem bíblico do Antigo Testamento, mencionado no livro de Gênesis como um filhos do perverso Lameque e de Ada, fazendo parte da descendência de Caim. Foi irmão de Jabal, Tubalcaim e Naamá.Segundo a Bíblia, Jabal foi o ancestral dos homens que tocavam arpa e órgão no mundo antes do Dilúvio (Gênesis 4:21).
