John George Kemeny
John George Kemeny (May 31, 1926 – December 26, 1992) was a Hungarian American mathematician, computer scientist, and educator best known for co-developing the BASIC programming language in 1964 with Thomas E. Kurtz. Kemeny served as the 13th President of Dartmouth College from 1970 to 1981 and pioneered the use of computers in college education. Kemeny chaired the presidential commission that investigated the Three Mile Island accident in 1979.

John Kemeny
John George Kemeny (ungar. Kemény János György [], * 31. Mai 1926 in Budapest, Ungarn; † 26. Dezember 1992 in Etna in New Hampshire, USA) war ein in Ungarn geborener US-amerikanischer Mathematiker. Er ist einer der Miterfinder der BASIC-Programmiersprache.

John Kemeny
John George Kemeny, węg. Kemény János (ur. 31 maja 1926, zm. 26 grudnia 1992) - amerykański naukowiec węgierskiego pochodzenia, absolwent Princeton, najbardziej znany jako współtwórca (razem z Thomasem Eugenem Kurtzem) języka programowania BASIC (1964).
Wieloletni (1970-1981) prezes Dartmouth College, który był jednym z pionierów stosowania metod komputerowych w edukacji i promotorem istotnych zmian w systemach edukacyjnych. Kemeny był również przewodniczącym komisji prezydenckiej, która w 1979 r. badała wypadek w elektrowni atomowej Three Mile Island.
