John Coghlan
John Coghlan, född 19 september 1946 i London. Trumslagare i boogierockgruppen Status Quo 1963-1981. Coghlan var vänsterhänt men spelade på ett normalt uppställt trumset. Efter sitt avhopp från Status Quo engagerade sig Coghlan bl.a. i hobbyprojektet John Coghlan´s Diesel Band och har även figurerat som gästtrummis i förre Quobasisten Alan Lancasters projektband The Bombers.

John Coghlan
John Coghlan, ingeniero irlandés nacido en el Condado Kerry, Irlanda, en 1824, y fallecido en Inglaterra en 1890, quien durante treinta años (1857-1887) residió y trabajó en Argentina en diversos emprendimientos de obras públicas.
En 1859 propuso mejoras para el puerto de Buenos Aires, estudiando las corrientes del río, su capacidad de deposición y estableciendo la formación de los futuros bancos de arena. Con parte de sus ideas se nutrieron los proyectos posteriores sobre el tema. En 1869 realizó trabajos de altimetría en el casco de la ciudad e hizo estudios sobre el desagüe de aguas blancas (pluviales) y negras (cloacales) por separado y en redes subterráneas aprovechando los cursos de los terceros.
