Jana Novotná

Jana Novotná (b. October 2 1968 in Brno, Czechoslovakia) is a former professional tennis player from the Czech Republic. She is best remembered for winning the women's singles title at Wimbledon in 1998 and for crying on the shoulder of the Duchess of Kent after losing the Wimbledon singles final in 1993. Novotná also won 12 Grand Slam women's doubles titles and 4 Grand Slam mixed doubles titles.

Jana Novotná (* 2. Oktober 1968 in Brünn) ist eine ehemalige Tennisspielerin aus Tschechien. Sie gewann in ihrer Laufbahn 24 Turniere im Einzel und 76 im Doppel.Ihre größten Erfolge errang sie auf schnellen Bodenbelägen, unter anderem auf den Rasenplätzen in Wimbledon.Zuerst war sie nur als Doppelspielerin erfolgreich, doch mit Hilfe von Hana Mandlíková, einer Siegerin von 4 Grand-Slam-Turnieren, entwickelte sie sich auch zu einer erfolgreichen Spielerin im Einzel.

Jana Novotná (Brno, 2 oktober 1968) is een voormalig Tsjechisch proftennisster. Zij won in haar carrière 24 toernooien waaronder in 1998 de Wimbledon-titel in het enkelspel. Haar topjaren waren van de tweede helft van de jaren 80 tot ver in de jaren 90 van de 20^e eeuw.
