Jacques-Édouard Alexis
Jacques-Édouard Alexis (born 21 September1947, in Gonaïves) is the prime minister of Haiti. He was nominated by President René Préval on 21 May 2006, and during the next three weeks, his nomination was ratified almost unanimously by both houses of parliament. He and his cabinet were sworn in on 9 June 2006. He previously served as Préval's prime minister from 26 March 1999 to 7 February 2001.
