Jack Kirby

Jack Kirby (born Jacob Kurtzberg, August 28, 1917 –  February 6, 1994) was one of the most influential, recognizable, and prolific artists in American comic books, and the co-creator of such enduring characters and popular culture icons as the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, the Hulk, Captain America, and hundreds of others stretching back to the earliest days of the medium. He was also a comic book writer and editor. His most common nickname is "The King".

Detto "The King" (Il Re) dei comics, è stato uno dei più grandi, celebri ed influenti autori di fumetti della storia, prolifico e inconfondibile grazie al suo stile riconoscibile a prima vista, divenuto il modello per generazioni di autori. Jack Kirby (New York City, 28 augustus 1917 –  Thousand Oaks (Californië), 6 februari 1994) was een Amerikaanse stripauteur, en een van de meest invloedrijke stripauteurs in Amerika. Hij werkte voor onder andere Amerika’s twee grootste stripboekcompagnieën, Marvel Comics en DC Comics. Zijn bijnaam in de stripwereld is ook wel The King.
