Ja'far

Ja'far is an Arabic name, variously transliterated as Jafar, Džafer, Jaffar, Jaafar or Giafar. It is the name of several historical and fictional characters:Ja'far al-Sadiq (702-765), sixth Shi'i ImamJa'far ibn Abu Talib, cousin and companion of MuhammadJa'far ibn Yahya, the vizier of Caliph Harun al-Rashid,who also featured in several Arabian Nights tales. Jafar (de l'arabe: جعفر [Ja'far]) est un personnage de fiction qui est apparu pour la première fois dans le long métrage d'animation Aladdin. Il est inspiré du sorcier du conte des Mille et Une Nuits, Aladin et la lampe merveilleuse. Le personnage apparaît dans les suites du film sorties directement en vidéo : Le Retour de Jafar (1994) et Aladdin et le Roi des voleurs (1996), ainsi qu'une série télévisée, Aladdin (1994-95) et des bandes-dessinées.
