, usually referred to as JVC, is a Japanese international consumer and professional electronics corporation based in Yokohama, Japan. Founded in 1927, the company is best known for introducing Japan's first televisions, and developing the Video Home System (VHS) video recorder.

Nihon Victor K.K. (jap. , Nihon bikuta kabushiki-gaisha; engl. Victor Company of Japan, Limited, JVC) ist ein Unternehmen mit Sitz in Yokohama, Japan, das sowohl Unterhaltungselektronik für den Heimanwender und die Unterhaltungsindustrie als auch medientechnische Geräte für semiprofessionelle und professionelle Anwendungen entwickelt und vertreibt. Es hat etwa 36.000 Angestellte (2003).

JVC eller Japan Victor Company är ett stort internationellt företag som tillverkar ljud-, video- och konsumentelektronik. Företaget grundades 1927, och sedan 1953 är företaget ägt av det japanska storföretaget Panasonic Corporation.

JVC to firma powstała w 1927 roku w Japonii, jako Victor Company of Japan Limited. W 1945 roku zmieniono nazwę korporacji na JVC. W 1954 firmę przejmuje koncern elektroniczny Matsushita.
Firma JVC jest producentem sprzętu elektronicznego w tym: płyt i gramofonów. W ciągu swojej blisko osiemdziesięcioletniej historii, technologia JVC wielokrotnie wytyczała nowe kierunki w rozwoju światowej elektroniki. Przełomem był rok 1976, kiedy firma JVC wprowadziła na rynek pierwszy domowy magnetowid, nagrywający na 1/2-calowej taśmie magnetofonowej w standardzie VHS.
