JINGPHO

The Jingpo or Kachin people (; ; own names: Jingpo (also Jinghpaw), Tsaiva, Lechi) are an ethnic group who largely inhabit northern Myanmar (Kachin State). They also form one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China, where they numbered 132,143 people in the 2000 census. There is a closely related people in India called Singpho.

Le jinghpo est une langue tibéto-birmane appartenant à la sous-famille jinghpo-bodo-konyak (kachinique). C'est une langue à tons. L'ethnie Jingpo, ou Kachin (ka khrang en birman) est écartelée entre le Yunnan en Chine, l'état Kachin de la Birmanie et la Thaïlande. Elle contient outre les locuteurs du jinghpo, des locuteurs de langues lolo-birmanes ayant adopté la structure sociale des Jinghpo.

Die Jingpo, Jingpho, Jingp'o bzw. Kachin sind eine der 55 offiziell anerkannten ethnischen Minderheiten der Volksrepublik China, dort vor allem in der Provinz Yunnan, und eine Minderheit in Myanmar (Birma), vor allem im Kachin-Staat, im äußersten Norden des Landes. Nach der letzten Volkszählung im Jahr 2000 zählen sie in China 132.143 Menschen, in Myanmar machen sie ca. 1,4% der Bevölkerung aus. In China wie auch in Myanmar werden mehrere Gruppen, die sich linguistisch z.T. stark voneinander unterscheiden, zur Jingpo- bzw. Kachin-Nationalität gerechnet.

Качины (; самоназвание — цзинпо или чжингпхо) — тибето-бирманский народ, живущий в лесных горных районах на севере Мьянмы (в пределах Качинского и Шанского штатов). 132 143 качина (2000, перепись) живёт также на юго-западе  Китая (провинция Юньнань), небольшие группы — на северо-востоке Индии, в Таиланде и Лаосе. Los jingpo (Chino: 景颇族; Pinyin: Jǐngpō zú) son una minoría étnica que habita en Birmania, India, Tailandia y en la República Popular China. En este país forman una de las 56 minorías oficialmente reconocidas por el gobierno. La mayoría de los jingpo habita en Birmania, con una población estimada de unos 600.000 habitantes. En China, la población jingpo, de unos 130.000, se concentra en la provincia de Yunnan.
