Jaranwala (Urdu,)is a city in the Faisalabad District of Punjab, Pakistan. It is located at 31°20'0N 73°26'0E with an altitude of 184 meters (606 feet). It is 35KM south east from Faisalabad and 110 km from Lahore. There was a big tree with hanging roots in this area where people stay during travelling. Roots in Punjabi language called (Jaran) so people called this place a jaranwala tree after that is only called jaranwala. The city serves as the headquarters of Jaranwala Tehsil, an administrative subdivision of the district.
