Jacó is a coastal town in Costa Rica's Puntarenas province, located on the Pacific Ocean. Jacó is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from San José, its popularity has also attracted quite a bit of drugs, crime, and prostitution which is legal in Costa Rica. Jacó is popular for its surfing. It lies about 15 miles south of the popular Carara National Park.

The Japanese Animation Club of Orlando (JACO) serves as the officially sanctioned anime club for the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Florida (Union Park campus). Currently JACO has well over 100 members, and to compliment the annual event JACON, they have regular meetings at the UCF campus. Their advertisements can be seen in many comic shops all throughout Central Florida. One of their main supporters, The Fantasy Factory, even sells clothing and cosplay outfits specially designed for their conventions.

Jaco (auch: Jako) ist eine südostasiatische Insel  der Inselgruppe der Kleinen Sunda-Inseln. Jaco ist der Ostspitze (Kap Cutcha) der Insel Timor vorgelagert und gehört zu Osttimor.Die dichtbewaldete Insel ist Teil des Nino Konis Santana Nationalpark und gehört zum Distrikt Lautém. Jaco wird von der einheimischen Bevölkerung als heilig angesehen und das Betreten der Insel war früher verboten. Heute fahren Fischer Touristen zu den Sandstränden Jacos zum Schnorcheln und Tauchen. Auf der etwa 8 km² großen und bis zu 100 Meter hohen Insel leben seltene Vögel wie die Schweiftaube (Macropygia magna) und der Orpheusdickkopf (Pachycephala orpheus).

Jaco is een onbewoond Zuidoost-Aziatisch eiland in de archipel van de Kleine Soenda-eilanden. Jaco ligt voor de oostpunt (Kaap Cutcha) van het eiland Timor en behoort tot de jonge Staat Oost-Timor. Het ligt op 8° 27' zuiderbreedte en 127° 20' oosterlengte.Jaco is een dicht begroeid nationaal park met mooie zandstranden en hoort bij het district Lautém. Het wordt door de inheemse bevolking van Oost-Timor als heilig beschouwd, en het betreden ervan is verboden. Op het 10 km² grootte en tot 100 meter hoge eiland leven een aantal zeldzame vogelsoorten zoals de Macropygia magna en de Pachycephala orpheus.
