J. D. Tippit

J. D. Tippit (September 18, 1924 – November 22, 1963) was a police officer with the Dallas, Texas Police Department who, according to several witnesses, the Warren Commission, and the conclusions of other government investigations, was slain by Lee Harvey Oswald after Tippit stopped Oswald following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
