The Collège de la Sainte Famille (CSF) (English: School of the Holy Family), (Arabic) مدرسة العائلة المقدسة often referred to as "Jésuites", is a private Jesuit French school for boys in the Faggala (preparatory and secondary section), Daher (primary section), and Heliopolis (primary section) districts of Cairo, Egypt. It was founded in 1879, after a request by Pope Leo XIII for a seminary to help prepare students to become priests in the Catholic Church.

The Society of Jesus (, S.J., SJ, or SI) is a Christian male religious order that follows the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The members are called Jesuits and are also known colloquially as "God's Marines" and as "The Company", these being references to founder Ignatius of Loyola's military background and members' willingness to accept orders anywhere in the world and live in extreme conditions. The society is engaged in evangelization and apostolic ministry in 112 nations on six continents. The society's founding principles are contained in the document Formula of the Institute, written by Ignatius of Loyola. Jesuits are known for their work in education (founding schools, colleges, universities and seminaries), intellectual research, and cultural pursuits, and for their missionary efforts. Jesuits also give retreats, minister in hospitals and parishes and promote social justice and ecumenical dialogue.

Die Jesuiten, eigentlich Gesellschaft Jesu (Societas Jesu, Ordenskürzel: SJ) genannt, ist eine katholische Ordensgemeinschaft, die am 15. August 1534 von einem Freundeskreis um Ignatius von Loyola gegründet wurde. Neben den üblichen drei Ordensgelübden - Armut, Ehelosigkeit und Gehorsam - verpflichten sich Ordensangehörige durch das vierte Gelübde zu besonderem Gehorsam gegenüber dem Papst. Der Orden wurde 1773 auf Druck der absolutistischen Könige vom Papst aufgehoben, 1814 aber wieder zugelassen. Die Bezeichnung „Jesuiten“ wurde zunächst als Spottname gebraucht, später aber auch vom Orden selbst übernommen.

La Compagnie de Jésus — abrégée s.j. : Societas Jesu — est une congrégation catholique fondée par Ignace de Loyola et approuvée en 1540. On appelle ses membres les Jésuites. C'est l'ordre religieux numériquement le plus important de l'Église catholique avec 19 200 membres en 2007. Son actuel supérieur général est Adolfo Nicolás.

Aujourd’hui, le mot Jésuite désigne généralement un membre de la Compagnie de Jésus, qu’il soit Prêtre Jésuite, Frère Jésuite ou Étudiant jésuite (appelé également Scolastique), ou comme adjectif, à ce qui a rapport avec la Compagnie de Jésus. Mais il a eu un sens plus ancien.
