L'Ituri est un district riche (voir Kilo-Moto) de la province orientale, sur une superficie de 65.658 km², dans le nord-est de la République démocratique du Congo, sur le versant occidental du Lac Albert. Il possède des frontières avec l’Ouganda et le Soudan. Il comprend cinq Territoires administratifs, qui sont : Aru (6.740 km²), Djugu (8.184 km²), Irumu (8.730 km²), Mahagi (5.221 km²) et Mambasa (36.783 km²).

Ituri är en provins i Kongo-Kinshasa, som bildades ur den tidigare provinsen Orientale i och med den nya konstitutionen 2006. Huvudstad är Bunia och officiellt språk swahili. Provinsen har 4,2 miljoner invånare.
