Islamic prophet

Prophets of Islam are male human beings who are regarded by Muslims to be prophets chosen by God. The term for prophet in Islam is nabi (pl. anbiyaa). All prophets are Muslims, they were just different in the sharia that they taught to their nation, but that they all preached the same message; to believe that there is only one God, not to commit idol-worship, and to follow the word of God, not to commit sin, etc, and that they all came to preach Islam and to warn of the coming of the final prophet and messenger of God; the prophet Muhammad.

L'islam possède sa propre interprétation de la vie des prophètes monothéistes, qui diffère parfois de celle des deux autres religions abrahamiques (judaïsme et christianisme). Bien que tous les prophètes soient considérés comme importants, cinq sont nommés "ouli l âazm" (arabe :, les plus décidés) et se distinguent : Nuh (Noé), Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moïse), Îsâ (Jésus de Nazareth) et Mohammed (Mahomet).

O Alcorão identifica uma série de homens como Profetas do Islão. Os muçulmanos acreditam que estes indivíduos receberam de Allah (Deus) a missão especial de orientar os seres humanos no caminho do monoteísmo e do bem. Muitos destes profetas são também referidos nos textos sagrados do Judaísmo e do Cristianismo.

המושג "נביא" באסלאם (בערבית: نبيّ, נַבי בריבוי: أنبياء אנביאא') שונה במידת מה ממשמעותו ביהדות ובנצרות. האסלאם רואה בכל אדם שחווה התגלות נביא, ובכלל זה דמויות כגון אדם הראשון, נח, דוד המלך, שלמה המלך ודמויות אחרות שביהדות ובנצרות - אינן נחשבות לנביאים. בנוסף לנביאים המוכרים ביהדות ובנצרות ודמויות אחרות הנזכרות בתנ"ך ובברית החדשה, יש באסלאם נביאים נוספים המוזכרים רק בקוראן - אחד החשובים שבהם הוא הוד.מייסד הדת עצמו, מוחמד, נחשב באסלאם לאחרון הנביאים ולחשוב שבהם. הוא מכונה "רסול אללה" - رسول الله - שליח האל, תואר שאינו ניתן ליתר הנביאים. כשמוסלמי מזכיר שם של נביא הוא מוסיף אחריו את הברכה: عليه السلام או בראשי תיבות: عم - שפירושה "עליו השלום" (בעברית נאמרת ברכה דומה על כל אדם שמת, אולם אין לבלבל בינה לבין הברכה המוסלמית שנאמרת רק אחרי שמותיהם של נביאים ושל מלאכים). אחרי הזכרת שמו של מוחמד מקובל לומר: صلّى الله عليه وسلّم, בראשי תיבות: صلعم או ص ("האל יתפלל עליו וייתן לו שלום").
