Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden are a British heavy metal band from Leyton in the East End of London. The band were formed in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, formerly a member of Gypsy's Kiss and Smiler. Iron Maiden are one of the most successful and influential bands in the heavy metal genre, having sold over 80 million albums worldwide. The band won the Ivor Novello Awards for international achievement in 2002. They were also inducted into the Hollywood Rock Walk during their tour in the United States in 2005.

Iron Maiden est un groupe de heavy metal traditionnel britannique formé en 1975 au Royaume-Uni par le bassiste Steve Harris et son ami d'enfance Dave Murray. Ils furent les pionniers de ce qui fut appelé la NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) avec les groupes Saxon, Def Leppard, Tygers of Pantang, etc. L'« ancienne vague » était représentée par Black Sabbath, Judas Priest et Motörhead. Iron Maiden est l'un des groupes heavy metal qui a recueilli le plus grand succès commercial au cours de son histoire, vendant plus de 100 millions d'albums.

Liderem grupy jest basista Steve Harris. Nazwa zespołu dosłownie oznacza żelazną dziewicę, średniowieczne narzędzie tortur.

Gli Iron Maiden sono un gruppo heavy metal britannico, formatosi a Londra nel 1975 per iniziativa del bassista Steve Harris. Assieme ad artisti come Saxon, Def Leppard e Venom, fanno parte della New Wave of British Heavy Metal, corrente al cui sviluppo hanno fortemente contribuito.Si sono esibiti come headliner in molti festival musicali, tra cui il Rock in Rio, l'Ozzfest, il Monsters of Rock, il Download Festival, il Reading Festival, l'Heineken Jammin' Festival e nel 2008 si esibiranno al Wacken Open Air ed in Italia al Gods of Metal.
