The Irish Wolfhound (, ) is a breed of domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris), specifically a sighthound. The name originates from its purpose (wolf hunting with dogs) rather than from its appearance. Irish Wolfhounds are the tallest of dog breeds.

L'Irish wolfhound ou lévrier irlandais, est le plus rustique et le plus grand des lévriers, (c'est aussi le plus grand chien du monde, si l'on compare les tailles moyennes par races). La Fédération Cynologique Internationale a répertorié la race dans le groupe 10, section 2, lévriers à poil dur, standard n° 160. Le lévrier irlandais était jadis utilisé pour chasser le loup et les cervidés.
