Interstate 96 (I-96) is an intrastate Interstate Highway that is entirely within the US state of Michigan. Its western terminus is at an interchange with US Highway 31 (US 31) and Business US Highway 31 (BUS US 31), on the western boundary of Norton Shores southeast of Muskegon. Its eastern terminus is at I-75 near the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit. From Detroit to Grand Rapids, it parallels Grand River Avenue, never straying more than a few miles from the deleted US 16.

Interstate 96 de un estado a otro (I-96 abreviado) es una carretera de un estado a otro interior que está enteramente dentro del estado de los E.E.U.U. de Michigan. Su término occidental está en un intercambio con US-31 y el autobús. US-31, en el límite occidental de Norton apuntala el sureste de Muskegon. Su término del este está en I-75 cerca del embajador Bridge en Detroit. De Detroit a Rapids magnífico, es paralelo a la avenida magnífica del río, nunca perdiéndose más que algunas millas del US-16 desarmado.
