Interactive television

Interactive television describes a number of techniques which allow viewers to interact with television content as they view it. It is sometime called interactive TV, iTV, idTV or ITV (not to be confused with the British Independent Television network).

IVI Publishing is an American-based home computer software company based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota in 1990 as Interactive Television, but later renamed in 1991 as Interactive Ventures, Inc. (where IVI stands for) and later to its current name. It was a joint-venture with the Mayo Clinic. IVI Publishing published and developed during the 90's a bunch of software with biological and medical fields.
