Inspection lot

A collection of produced units from which a statistically valid sample is to be drawn and inspected to determine conformance with acceptability criteria. Note: The inspection lot may differ from a collection of units designated as a lot for other purposes, such as for production, storage, packaging, and shipment.

A collection of similar units or a specific quantity of similar material offered for inspection and acceptance at one time.
