Innsbruck

Innsbruck is the capital city of the federal state of Tyrol in western Austria. It is located in the Inn Valley at the junction with the Wipptal (Sill River), which provides access to the Brennerpass, some 30 km south of Innsbruck. Located in the broad valley between high mountains, the Nordkette (Hafelekar, 2,334 m) in the north,  Patscherkofel (2,246 m) and  Serles (2,718 m) in the south, it is an internationally renowned  winter sports centre. The name translated from German means "the bridge over the Inn" (Brücke meaning "bridge").

Innsbruck ist mit ca. 120.000 Einwohnern nach Wien, Graz, Linz und Salzburg die fünftgrößte Stadt Österreichs, im Ballungsraum Innsbruck leben ca. 190.000 Menschen, dazu kommen ca. 30.000 Studierende und andere Nebenwohnsitzinhaber und täglich rund 3.000 Nächtigungen von Städtetouristen.

Innsbruck, miasto w Austrii, stolica kraju związkowego Tyrol. Położone jest na wysokości 547 m n.p.m w dolinie rzeki Inn. Liczy 117 916 mieszkańców (dane z grudnia 2006 r.) , a gęstość zaludnienia wynosi 1269 os./km². Około 30 km na południe od miasta znajduje się przełęcz Brenner (1 370 metrów n.p.m.).

Innsbruck è il capoluogo del Tirolo Settentrionale e dello stato federale austriaco del  Tirolo, nonché capitale della regione storica del Tirolo.Situata a circa 600 metri s.l.m. e con circa 135.000 abitanti, Innsbruck è una delle principali città dell'Austria. È attraversata dal fiume Inn e infatti il suo nome signfica ponte sull'Inn.Circondata da alte montagne, è una celebre stazione di sport invernali, meta anche di molti turisti italiani.
