Injection (medicine)
An injection (often referred to as a "shot" or a "jab") is an infusion method of putting fluid into the body, usually with a hollow needle and a syringe which is pierced through the skin to a sufficient depth for the material to be forced into the body. An injection follows a parenteral route of administration; that is, administered other than through the digestive tract.

En médecine, une injection est une méthode instrumentale utilisée pour introduire dans l'organisme une substance liquide à visée thérapeutique par voie parentérale, au moyen d'une aiguille creuse transperçant la couche supérieure de la peau.

Iniezione (medicina)
Per iniezione si intende la somministrazione di un farmaco nei tessuti per via parenterale tramite una siringa o un ago cavo. Le vie principali utilizzate sono quella endovenosa (farmaci iniettati direttamente nelle vene), intradermica (farmaci iniettati nello strato dermico cutaneo), sottocutanea (farmaci iniettati nel grasso sottocutaneo tra cute e muscolo), ed intramuscolare (farmaci iniettati in determinate sedi muscolari).
