The Infiniti FX is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by the Nissan-owned Infiniti luxury vehicle brand since the 2003 model year. The FX replaced the QX4 as Infiniti's mid-size luxury-type SUV, although the QX4 was smaller than the FX. It was released at the same time as its competitors, the Porsche Cayenne and Volvo XC90. It shares the same FM platform as the rear-wheel drive Nissan 370Z, whereas the similarly sized Nissan Murano is based on the same D platform as the front-wheel drive Nissan Altima. The FX and QX56, whose platform is shared with the Nissan Armada, are not sold in Japan.

Die Modelle Infiniti FX35, Infiniti FX35 AWD und Infiniti FX45 AWD sind SUVs der Nissan-Tochtergesellschaft Infiniti. Markteinführung war im Jahr 2002 auf dem amerikanischen Markt. Somit war er bis 2008, wie alle Modelle der Marke Infiniti, in Deutschland nur über freie Importeure erhältlich. Seit der Einführung Infinitis in Europa gibt es den FX bei Nissan-Händlern zu erwerben.

Le FX est le premier crossover de la marque de luxe Infiniti. Lancé en 2003, il a permis d'améliorer et d'étendre l'image de cette marque vouée à jouer un rôle mineur sur le marché du haut de gamme. Grâce à son style reconnaissable entre mille, il a réussi son objectif et s'est renouvelé pour une seconde génération en 2008. Celle-ci traversera l'Atlantique pour arriver en Europe fin 2008.

Produkcję obu modeli rozpoczęto w 2003 roku, w tym samym czasie co potencjalnego konkurenta, Lexusa GX 470. FX zastąpił model QX4 i zachował miano SUV-a średniej wielkości, pomimo zwiększenia gabarytów. Pojemność baku paliwa wynosi 90 litrów. Samochody wyposażane są w 5-biegową automatyczną skrzynię biegów z możliwością pracy w trybie skrzyni ręcznej. Seria FX została unowocześniona w 2006 roku zarówno o nowe opcje, jak i nowe wyposażenie standardowe.
