Indiana
Indiana is a US state, admitted to the United States as the 19th on December 11, 1816. It is located in the midwestern and Great Lakes regions of North America. Indiana is the 38th largest by area and the 15th most populous of the 50 United States. Indiana is the least extensive state in the continental US west of the Appalachian Mountains. Its capital and largest city is Indianapolis, the second largest of any state capital and largest state capital east of the Mississippi River.

Indiana
Indiana [] ist ein Bundesstaat der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika, die Hauptstadt ist Indianapolis. Die postalische Abkürzung des Staates ist IN. Die Bewohner Indianas werden Hoosier genannt, daher auch der Beiname „The Hoosier State“. Indiana bedeutet „das Land der Indianer“.

Indiana är en är amerikansk delstat i regionen Great Lakes i USA och är den 19:e delstaten att ansluta sig till unionen. Indiana är med cirka 6 300 000 invånare den 16:e folkrikaste delstaten och den 17:e befolkningstätaste. Indiana är till ytan den 38:e största och den minsta delstaten i kontinentala USA väster om Appalacherna. Dess huvudstad och största stad är Indianapolis, den största av alla delstatshuvudstäder öster om Mississippifloden.

Indiana - jeden ze stanów środkowego wschodu (Mid East) USA. Graniczy ze stanem Michigan i jeziorem Michigan (od północy) oraz Ohio (od wschodu), Kentucky (od południa) i Illinois (od zachodu). Obszar stanu jest równinny (Nizina Missisipi), na południu i wschodzie pagórkowaty.
Pierwotnie zamieszkany był przez Indian grupy algonkińskiej, między innymi Delawarów i Potawatomi.
