In-house
In-house refers to the production of some commodity or service, such as a television program, using a company's own funds, staff, or resources. This is in contrast to production being outsourced (contracted out) to another company. An example of this kind of production is the UK science fiction television series Doctor Who, which is produced in-house by BBC Wales for broadcast on BBC One. Since both are branches of the BBC, the production is considered in-house.

In-house
Used in the context of general equities. Keeping an activity within the firm. For example, rather than go to the marketplace and sell a security for a client to anyone, an attempt is made to find a buyer to complete the transaction with the firm. Although a listed trade  must be brought to the floor of the stock exchange, matching supply with demand within the confines of the firm results in greater commissions for the firm.
