Ibrahim

(Arabic: ), the biblical patriarch Abraham (circa 2000 B.C.), is an important prophet in Islam. He is the son of Tarakh and the father of the Prophet Ismail (Ishmael), his firstborn son who is considered the Father of the Arabs. Ibrahim is commonly termed Khalil Allah, or "Friend of God". His father died when he was very young and he was subsequently brought up by his polytheist uncle, Azar.

Ibrahim est le nom d'Abraham dans l'islam. Il porte le surnom de Hanifa, et est communément appelé Khalil Allah (l'ami de Dieu). Ibrahim est l'un des prophètes de l'islam, et il joue un rôle essentiel dans la foi musulmane, l'islam se percevant comme la continuité de la foi d’Ibrahim. Ibrahim est généralement présenté aux musulmans comme le modèle du croyant, par sa soumission à Allah, qui est commémorée annuellement par l'Aïd el-Kebir.

Abraham (en hébreu : abraham, « père d'une multitude » ; en arabe : Ibrahim al-khalil, « l'ami privilégié (de Dieu) », a brahman = prêtre, bon père en sanscrit) est considéré dans la Bible, comme le père du monothéisme. Son histoire est racontée dans la Genèse, chapitres 11 à 25. Quand la Bible était encore vue comme un récit historique précis, les spécialistes dataient cette épopée à environ 1800 avant notre ère. Aujourd'hui, elle est considérée comme largement mythique, même si la mémoire d'un ou plusieurs personnages fondateurs a pu servir de modèle à Abraham.

Abramo ("Padre/Capo di molti", in ebraico אַבְרָהָם Avraham, in arabo ابراهيم Ibrāhīm) è il primo patriarca dell'Ebraismo, del Cristianesimo e dell' Islam.
