The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is one of the three sectors (divisions or units) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU); it coordinates standards for telecommunications.

Internationaler Beratender Ausschuss für den Telegrafen- und Telefondienst) ist eine inzwischen veraltete, aber oft erwähnte Bezeichnung für eines der technischen Komitees der ITU (International Telecommunication Union, dt. Internationale Fernmeldeunion).

Die Internationale Fernmeldeunion (Kürzel ITU; englisch International Telecommunication Union; französisch Union internationale des télécommunications, UIT) mit Sitz in Genf ist eine Sonderorganisation der Vereinten Nationen und die einzige Organisation, die sich offiziell und weltweit mit technischen Aspekten der Telekommunikation beschäftigt. Sie ist Veranstalter der Weltfunkkonferenz, die die Vollzugsordnung für den Funkdienst fortschreibt.

ITU-T powstał 1 marca 1993 roku i zastąpił istniejący wówczas Komitet CCITT.
