iO Digital Cable is a
digital cable service offered by
Cablevision, available only in
New Jersey,
New York,
Connecticut, and
Pennsylvania. It includes 40
HDTV channels, two channels short of Dish Network, interactive channels, such as games, and channels that allow viewers to browse listings of autos and homes for sale in the area, and
video on demand. HD channels are free with iO. So long as a customer subscribes to the service package that has the SD channel he/she will receive the HD channel for no additional cost. Additionally, iO comes with 44 channels of
Music Choice music channels. iO also offers a
DVR and a HD-DVR, for an additional cost. It was the first American company to offer
BBC World, however it is one of the only companies where
BBC America is not available.
