The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers or IEEE (pronounced as eye-triple-e) is an international non-profit, professional organization for the advancement of technology related to electricity. It has the most members of any technical professional organization in the world, with more than 360,000 members in around 175 countries.

L’Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers ou IEEE (que l’on peut prononcer « i trois e ») est une organisation à but non lucratif. L’IEEE compte un grand nombre de membres, et possède différentes branches dans plusieurs parties du monde. L’IEEE est constituée d’ingénieurs électriciens, d’informaticiens, de professionnels du domaine des télécommunications, etc. L’organisation a pour but de promouvoir la connaissance dans le domaine de l’ingénierie électrique (électricité et électronique).

Das Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE, meist als „i triple e“ // gesprochen) ist ein weltweiter Berufsverband von Ingenieuren aus den Bereichen Elektrotechnik und Informatik. Er ist Veranstalter von Fachtagungen, Herausgeber diverser Fachzeitschriften und bildet Gremien für die Normung von Techniken, Hardware und Software. Wissenschaftlichen Beiträgen in Zeitschriften oder zu Konferenzen des IEEE wird im Allgemeinen eine besonders hohe fachliche Güte unterstellt.

IEEE (ang. Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers - Instytut Inżynierów Elektryków i Elektroników). Jest to organizacja typu non-profit skupiająca profesjonalistów. Powstała z konsolidacji grup AIEE oraz IRE w 1963 roku. Jednym z podstawowych jej zadań jest ustalanie standardów konstrukcji, pomiarów itp. dla urządzeń elektronicznych, w tym standardów dla urządzeń i formatów komputerowych.

Lo IEEE, acronimo di Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (in italiano: Istituto degli ingegneri elettrici ed elettronici), nacque il 1° gennaio 1963 dalla fusione di due istituzioni precedenti: l'IRE, Institute of Radio Engineers, e l'AIEE, American Institute of Electric Engineers nati nel 1884. La sua sede è nello stato di New York, negli Stati Uniti. . Il logo IEEE mostra (all'interno di un rombo arrotondato) la regola della vite destrorsa.
