Mount Ida, Turkey. Mount Ida, known variously as Idha, Ídhi, Idi, Ita and now Psiloritis, is the highest
mountain on
Crete. Located in the
Rethymno Prefecture, it is sacred to the
Greek goddess Rhea, and on its slopes, according to legend, lies the
cave in which
Zeus was born. It is the mountain with the highest
topographic prominence in Greece. Interesting features are the plateau of Nida and the forest of Ruva on the east side. The
observatory of the University of Crete is located on the secondary peak Skinakas.

Psiloritis
Das Psiloritis-Massiv oder Idagebirge ist eines der drei großen Gebirgsmassive auf der griechischen Mittelmeerinsel
Kreta. Es liegt in Zentralkreta, südwestlich der Hauptstadt
Iraklion. Höchster Berg ist der Psiloritis (Timios Stavrós / „Ehrenhaftes Kreuz“) mit 2.456 Metern, umgeben von vier weiteren Berggipfeln mit über 2.200 Metern Höhe.

Kreta. De bergtop ligt in het Idagebergte, in het departement
Rethimnon. Zij is 35 kilometer verwijderd van
Minoïsche opgraving
Knossos en werd in de
oudheid gebruikt voor de winning van goud, koper en ijzer. Verder werd
Aphrodite hier vereerd. Ook
Zeus werd hier vereerd; hij zou op deze berg gevoed zijn toen hij nog een baby was.

IDA corresponde al
acrónimo de Ingesta Diaria Admisible, y se puede definir como un índice capaz de medir cuan peligroso puede ser la ingesta de un
aditivo alimentario. La definición más formal dice que es la cantidad aproximada (en miligramos) de un aditivo presente en un alimento, expresada en relación con el peso corporal y que se puede ingerir a diario, durante toda la vida de una persona, sin que llegue a representar un riesgo apreciable para la salud. Esta última frase se refiere a la certeza real, de acuerdo con la investigaciones científicas realizadas, de que la exposición durante toda la vida al aditivo químico no provocará daño alguno. La IDA se representa normalmente en unidades de nivel de 0-x miligramos al día por kilogramo de peso corporal.
