IANA
IANA is an initialism that may stand for a number of things:
- the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority, an organisation that oversees IP address, Top-level domain and Internet protocol code point allocations
- IANA time zone database, the organisation that publishes a time zone database
- the Iranian Agriculture News Agency
- the Islamic Assembly of North America, a Muslim organization headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan
- the phrase "I am not a…", a common disclaimer in Internet slang, for example, IANAL (I am not a lawyer)
- the Intermodal Association of North America, the trade association for the intermodal freight transport industry

Iana is a commune in Vaslui County, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Halaresti, Iana, Silistea, Recea and Vadurile.

Internet Assigned Numbers Authority
Die Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) ist eine Organisation, die die Vergabe von IP-Adressen, Top Level Domains und IP-Protokollnummern, sowie die Zuordnung der Ports regelt. Der Vorläufer der IANA bestand ursprünglich aus nur einem einzigen Mitarbeiter, Jon Postel.

Internet Assigned Numbers Authority
Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) är en organisation som arbetar med att se över fördelning av IP-adresser och utvecklingen av internets struktur. IANA har övergripande ansvar för internets rotservrar men genomför också många andra uppgifter kring utveckling och implementering av olika internet-protokoll.

Internet Assigned Numbers Authority
IANA (ang. Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) to organizacja, która wyłoniła się z IETF w celu zaprowadzenia porządku w nazwach domen i adresach IP komputerów przyłączonych do Internetu.
Początkowo IANA była jedną z grup roboczych IETF, która zajmowała się ustaleniem standardów przyznawania numerów IP. Później jednak powstała konieczność powstania instytucji, która będzie na co dzień zarządzała zasadami przyznawania numerów IP i nazw domen kolejnym użytkownikom. To zadanie spełniała długi czas właśnie IANA, która mimo że nie była od strony prawnej sformalizowana, dostała od rządu USA uprawnienia do zarządzania domenami, bo nikt inny nie był wtedy w stanie tego robić.
