Huns

The Huns were an early confederation of Central Asian equestrian nomads or semi-nomads with a Turkic speaking aristocracy . Some of these Eurasian tribes moved into Europe in the 4th and 5th centuries, most famously under Attila the Hun. Huns remaining in Asia are recorded by neighboring peoples to the south, east, and west as having occupied Central Asia roughly from the 4th century to the 6th century, with some surviving in the Caucasus until the early 8th century.

Der Begriff Hunnen ist ein Sammelbegriff für eine Gruppe zentralasiatischer Reitervölker mit nomadischer, später halbnomadischer Lebensweise. Sie waren ursprünglich im Gebiet zwischen dem heute kirgisischen Yssykköl-See und der heutigen mongolischen Hauptstadt Ulaanbaatar beheimatet und sollten für die weitere asiatische und europäische Geschichte eine bedeutende Rolle spielen.

Hunowie – jeden ze starożytnych ludów Wielkiego Stepu. Był to koczowniczy lud wywodzący się ze wschodnich terenów Azji Środkowej. W IV w. pojawili się we Wschodniej Europie, gdzie w V w. utworzyli krótkotrwałe imperium. Gli Unni erano un popolo guerriero nomade probabilmente di stirpe turco-mongola  proveniente dall'Asia Centrale che giunse in Europa nel IV secolo. Secondo fonti locali della loro zona d'origine, gli Unni sarebbero stati padroni incontrastati di tutta l'Asia Centrale dal tardo I secolo alla metà del V secolo.
