Hortus botanicus Leiden

The Hortus Botanicus of Leiden is the oldest botanical garden of the Netherlands, and one of the oldest in the world. It is located in the southwestern part of the historical centre of the city, between the Academy building and the Leiden Observatory.

Le Jardin botanique de l'Université de Leyde (Hortus Botanicus Leiden) est le plus vieux jardin botanique des Pays-Bas et un des plus vieux au monde. Il est situé dans la partie sud-ouest du centre historique de la ville, entre le bâtiment de l'Académie et l'Observatoire de Leyde.

De Hortus botanicus Leiden is de oudste, nog bestaande botanische tuin van Nederland en is in 1590 opgericht aan het Rapenburg in Leiden. (De botanische tuin van de Universiteit van Franeker werd al in 1585 geopend, maar deze werd in 1811 per decreet van Napoleon Bonaparte tegelijkertijd met de universiteit gesloten). De tuin is vanaf het begin toegankelijk geweest voor het publiek, iets dat vooral in de zestiende en zeventiende eeuw een uitzondering was.

El Hortus Botanicus de Leiden también conocido como Jardín Botánico de la Universidad de Leiden en holandés : Hortus Botanicus Leiden es el Jardín botánico más antiguo de Holanda, y uno de los más antiguos del mundo. Se encuentra en el Suroeste de la parte histórica de la ciudad, entre el edificio de la Academia y el Observatorio de Leiden.
