In Greek mythology, the Hesperides (Greek: ) are nymphs who tend a blissful garden in a far western corner of the world, located near the Atlas mountains in Libya, or on a distant blessed island at the edge of the encircling Oceanus, the world-ocean.

Die Hesperiden sind Nymphen (die hellsingenden Töchter) der griechischen Mythologie. Ihre Zahl schwankt je nach Quelle zwischen drei und sieben. Genannt werden Aigle, Arethusa, Erytheia, Hestia, Hespere, Hesperusa (auch: Hesperthusa) und Hespereia. Auch Medusa wird zu ihnen gezählt. Sie werden manchmal auch die „afrikanischen Schwestern“ genannt. Es gibt unterschiedliche Angaben, wer ihr Vater ist: mal wird Erebos als dieser bezeichnet, mal Atlas, manchmal auch Hesperos (der Abendstern).

Hesperydy - (hesperides) w mitologii greckiej śliczne nimfy o imionach Hespere, Ajgle i Eryteis, które zamieszkiwały w przepięknych ogrodach. Ogrody te różnie umiejscawiano: w górach Arkadii, w południowo-zachodniej Iberii, w górach Atlas niedaleko starożytnego miasta Lixus, najczęściej jednak w bliżej nieokreślonym miejscu na zachodnich krańcach świata.
