Herpes Genital
A doença caracteriza-se por provocar coceiras, formigamento e/ou dores, aparecendo, a seguir, pequenas bolhas d'água, que estouram podendo deixar uma ferida no local. Ao mesmo tempo podem ocorrer dores ao urinar, assim como alguns sintomas típicos da gripe como dor de cabeça, costas e febre. O vírus permanece no organismo por toda a vida, manifestando-se de tempos em tempos, devido a diversos tipos de estresses. É uma doença que atualmente nao tem cura, podendo ser trasmitida ao feto durante a gravidez. A herpes simples I manifesta-se na boca e lábios e a herpes simples II, na vulva, vagina e pênis.

Herpes genital
El herpes genital es una infección cutánea causada por dos virus que pertenecen al grupo herpesvirus hominus: el HSV-1 y el HSV-2, también llamados herpes simple tipo 1 (HSV-1) y herpes simple tipo 2 (HSV-2).
Esta infección es de transmisión sexual y se caracteriza por episodios repetidos que se desarrollan con una erupción de pequeñas ampollas, generalmente dolorosas, sobre los genitales o ano produciendo un ardor o rasquiña (picazón) que puede llegar a ser desesperante. La piel se erupciona haciendo más difícil su curación.

Herpes, genital
A viral infection transmitted through intimate contact with the moist mucous linings of the genitals. This contact can involve the mouth, the vagina or the genital skin. The herpes simplex type 2 virus enters the mucous membranes through microscopic tears. Once inside, the virus travels to nerve the roots near the spinal cord and settles there permanently. When an infected person has a herpes outbreak, the virus travels down the nerve fibers to the site of the original infection and when it reaches the skin, the classic redness and blisters occur. The outbreak of herpes is closely related to the functioning of the immune system. Women who have suppressed immune systems, either through stress, disease, or medications, have more frequent and longer-lasting outbreaks. Commonly just called "herpes."
