Helsinki

Helsinki (in Finnish; ), or Helsingfors (in Swedish; ) is the capital and largest city of Finland. It is in the southern part of Finland, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, by the Baltic Sea. The population of the city of Helsinki is 565,186 (30 April 2007), making it the most populous municipality in Finland by a wide margin.

W mieście znajduje się główny port lotniczy.

La città è bilingue, e le lingue ufficiali sono il finlandese e lo svedese.A Helsinki hanno sede il parlamento, il governo, un'università e le sedi dei vescovi evangelico-luterano, cattolico e russo-ortodosso. È situata al sud del Paese sul Mar Baltico, di fronte alla capitale estone Tallinn, e si estende su più isole.
