Helenos

HelenOS is a research development general-purpose and portable operating system with elements of microkernel design and fully preemptive kernel. Currently it runs on ARM architecture, X86 64, IA32, IA64, MIPS, PowerPC (32-bit only) and sparc64 architectures. Incomplete ports to 64-bit PowerPC and the Xen hypervisor paravirtualization environment on IA32 are available, too. It provides all the facilities expected of a modern kernel, including multithreading and symmetric multiprocessing, but is on the other hand small and easy to expand. Some of interresting features of HelenOS are: lightweight IPC, thread-local storage, user-space managed fibrils.

Helenos (Ελενος) - syn Priama i Hekabe, bliźniaczy brat Kassandry.Posiadał dar wieszczy, tak jak siostra bliźniaczka. Był ulubieńcem Apolla. Dostał od niego łuk z kości słoniowej, z którego zranił rękę Achillesa.Przepowiedział Parysowi wszystkie nieszczęścia wynikające z jego związku z Heleną.

Eleno è un personaggio della mitologia greca e romana. Indovino, figlio di Priamo e di Ecuba, fratello gemello di Cassandra, dopo la guerra di Troia, seguì Neottolemo, figlio di Achille, nell'Epiro, perché suo schiavo. Qui, dopo la morte di Pirro, sposò Andromaca, peraltro già sposa di Ettore, ucciso da Achille stesso nel duello descritto alla fine dell'Iliade di Omero. Come si evince nel libro III dell'Eneide di Virgilio ai saggi 334 e 374, Enea, durante il suo viaggio volto alla fondazione della stirpe latina in Italia, incontra Eleno nell'Epiro, dove aveva fondato una nuova Troia.
