Hardcore techno (also known as simply Hardcore) is a type of electronic dance music typified by the rhythmic use of distorted and atonal industrial-like beats and samples. The tempo of various kinds of hardcore techno ranges from about 95 beats per minute (Belgian "New Beat" and rave/techno), to over 300 bpm ("speedcore"), with the more popular styles ranging from about 150 bpm to 200 bpm.

Hardcore Techno, in der entsprechenden Szene meist nur Hardcore genannt, ist eine härtere Stilrichtung des Techno und bewegt sich in einem Tempospektrum ab ungefähr 160 BPM.

La Techno hardcore se divise en plusieurs styles. Certains de ces styles sont considérés comme représentatifs de la branche la plus radicale et dure de la Techno avec un rythme souvent beaucoup plus rapide (170-220 BPM en général) mais surtout un spectre sonore plus appuyé dans les basses.

Hardcore eller hardcore techno (för att skilja det från hardcorepunk) är en musikstil inom elektronisk dansmusik som har sina rötter tidigt på mitten av 1990-talet i städer som Rotterdam, New York och Newcastle. Typiskt för genren är högt tempo (160–300 bpm) och distorterade synthtrummor. Hardcore techno har med tiden blivit ett brett begrepp och innefattar undergenrer som strikt talat inte är techno. I början av 1990-talet var det mycket vanligt med influenser från house. Genren kallades då ofta för hardcore house istället för hardcore techno.

Hardcore (określane też jako hardcore techno) to ogólne określenie dla grupy gatunków muzyki elektronicznej charakteryzującej się bardzo szybkim tempem. Hardcore, jako charakterystyczny styl, wyodrębniło się pod koniec lat osiemdziesiątych XX wieku wraz z rozwojem komputerów i trackerów, które były popularnym narzędziem do tworzenia tej muzyki.
